These days it can be a challenge for some kids to want to go outside so we may need to get a bit more creative. Sometimes we have to think outside of the box and do things differently and one way to do this is to suggest taking an indoor game outdoors. It is simple and it has great benefits. First, your kids are getting sunshine and all the stimulation benefits of being in nature. Second, there is a higher percentage that they will stay outside to do something else rather than turn on the convenient video game or TV when they are done. Think of some games you have that your child can take outside this week. (Notice the “bracket” chart! Boys love competition!) If it is hot, just suggest some shade and don’t forget the water bottles.
